Natural-Looking Volume and Facial Definition

Dermal fillers can enhance several areas of the face, including the lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, temples, and smile lines. Depending on your goals, fillers may help add subtle volume, soften wrinkles, improve facial symmetry, or create more definition in areas that have changed over time.

Because filler placement requires precision, Vantage Eye Center takes a medically guided approach to cosmetic injectables. Treatment planning considers your facial structure, movement, skin quality, and overall proportions.

1

Lip Fillers

Lip filler can add natural-looking volume, improve lip shape, and smooth fine lines around the mouth. Whether you want a subtle enhancement or want to restore volume that has changed with age, your treatment can be tailored to your desired look.

Most lip filler appointments take less than 30 minutes. Results are visible immediately and often last 6 to 12 months, depending on the product used and how your body metabolizes the filler.

2

Cheek Fillers

Cheek filler can restore midface volume and create a lifted, refreshed appearance. Adding volume to the cheek area may also help soften the appearance of lines and improve overall facial balance.

Cheek filler appointments usually take less than an hour. Results can appear right away and may last up to 24 months, depending on the filler used and your individual response.

3

Chin and Jawline Fillers

Fillers can enhance the chin, jawline, or both to improve lower-face definition. Chin filler may help create better facial proportion, while jawline filler can add structure and reduce the appearance of mild jowling or volume loss along the lower face.

Treatment typically takes less than an hour. Swelling or bruising may persist for several days, and results can last up to 2 years, depending on the treatment area and the product used.

4

Smile Line Fillers

Smile lines, also called nasolabial folds, run from the sides of the nose toward the corners of the mouth. Fillers can also soften marionette lines, which extend downward from the corners of the mouth toward the chin.

By restoring volume in these areas, dermal fillers can create a smoother, more refreshed appearance while still allowing natural facial expression.

5

Temple Fillers

The temples can lose volume over time, creating a hollow or tired appearance around the upper face. Temple filler can restore subtle volume and help create a more balanced, youthful facial shape.

Because the temple area sits near important facial structures, this treatment requires careful technique and a strong understanding of anatomy.

6

Facial Balancing

Facial balancing uses dermal fillers, and sometimes other cosmetic treatments, to improve overall harmony between facial features. Rather than focusing on only one area, Dr. Bidar and the Vantage Eye Center team evaluate the full face and recommend treatment based on proportion, symmetry, and your natural structure.

This approach may include fillers in areas such as the cheeks, chin, lips, jawline, or temples. The goal is a refreshed, balanced result that still looks like you.

What to Expect During Your Dermal Filler Appointment

Your visit begins with a consultation to discuss your goals, concerns, medical history, and any previous injectable treatments. Your provider will evaluate your facial structure, movement, symmetry, and areas of volume loss to determine the best treatment plan.

The injection process usually takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the number of areas treated. Your provider may gently massage the filler after placement to help create a smooth, even result. After treatment, you may receive an ice pack to help reduce swelling or discomfort.

Recovery After Dermal Fillers

Most patients are able to return to their normal activities shortly after treatment. Mild swelling, bruising, redness, or tenderness around the injection sites is common and typically improves within several days.

To help minimize swelling and bruising, patients are often advised to avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat, and alcohol for the first 24 to 48 hours after treatment. Applying a cool compress may help relieve minor discomfort.

Results are visible immediately, although it may take several days for swelling to subside and for the final outcome to become apparent. Your provider will give you personalized aftercare instructions and let you know when to schedule any follow-up visits to ensure the best possible results.

FAQ: Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. Longevity depends on the type of filler used, the treatment area, and how quickly your body naturally metabolizes the product. Areas with more movement, such as the lips, often break down filler more quickly than areas like the cheeks or jawline.

The cost of dermal fillers depends on the product used, the number of syringes needed, and the areas being treated. During your consultation, the team can review your goals and provide a personalized cost estimate.

Some discomfort is common during filler injections, but many patients tolerate treatment well. Some filler products contain lidocaine to help numb the area during treatment. A topical numbing cream may also be used to improve comfort.

Dermal fillers are generally well-tolerated when performed by trained professionals. Side effects may include temporary swelling, bruising, redness, or tenderness at the injection sites. Your provider will review your medical history, allergies, and treatment goals before recommending filler.

Many hyaluronic acid fillers can be reversed with an injectable enzyme called hyaluronidase. This may be used if filler needs to be adjusted, dissolved, or corrected. Your provider can discuss whether this applies to the specific filler used in your treatment.
